” We are delighted to have been awarded funding for this lifesaving package. The defibrillator will be placed outside Swinton & District Excelsior Band Room, meaning that local people have the best chance of survival should they suffer a cardiac arrest. We’re also keen to get as many people as possible trained in CPR too.”

BHF and Swinton Village Action Group to give cardiac arrest victims fighting chance of survival
Swinton, near Malton, is to become a community of lifesavers after it has been fitted with a public access defibrillator (PAD) and has been awarded a CPR training kit by the British Heart Foundation (BHF). Swinton Village Action Group were successful in attracting grants to fund the potentially lifesaving machine and received the Call Push Rescue training kit following their successful application for a Nation of Lifesavers Community Package from the charity.
